A High-End Modular Home, Designed for Living — and Built to Move
This architecturally crafted modular home was originally designed as a temporary residence during the construction of a forever home. What emerged, however, was something far more refined — a high-end lifestyle experience that combines thoughtful design, premium finishes and genuine liveability within a relocatable format.
We sat down with the owners and builders behind the project, MPH Construction Group, to talk about the vision, design decisions and why modular was the right solution for this build.
Was this home built as a private project or a commercial one?
This home was built by our company, MPH Construction Group Pty Ltd. While it was a company project, the original intention was personal use.
My husband is a builder, and we created this modular home as a high-quality temporary residence while we constructed our forever home on the same property.
Living onsite allowed us to stay close to the build, but it also gave us the opportunity to create something beautifully finished, functional and refined — a home we could truly live in as a family of four.
About MPH Construction Group
MPH Construction Group is based in Central West NSW and specialises in:
-
Custom residential construction
-
Architecturally designed homes
-
High-end modular builds
Our focus is on craftsmanship, thoughtful design and delivering homes that balance luxury with practicality. This project was a chance to bring those values into a compact, modular format.
The Vision Behind the Build
From the beginning, the goal was clear: to create a home that offered the elegance and comfort of a high-end residence within a smaller footprint.
With experience in the luxury modular home space, we wanted to demonstrate that compact living doesn’t require sacrificing designer finishes, architectural style or everyday comfort. This home was designed to feel calm, sophisticated and genuinely liveable.
It’s suited to a wide range of buyers — from downsizers and couples to families, or those seeking a refined retreat or boutique accommodation option.
Features Buyers Will Love
This home offers a rare combination of space, quality and flexibility, including:
-
Three bedrooms and two bathrooms
-
Two separate living areas
-
High-end fixtures, designer fittings and premium finishes
-
Architectural detailing typically seen in full-scale custom builds
-
The ability to relocate the home to rural, coastal or lifestyle settings
At its core, this is a luxury residence designed for flexibility.
What Sets This Home Apart
The standout element of this build is the consistency of quality throughout. From layout to finishes, every detail was carefully considered.
It’s uncommon to find a relocatable home with this level of craftsmanship and design sophistication. The home feels more like a boutique, architecturally designed residence than something temporary or transitional.
Layout & Liveability
The layout was designed with family living in mind.
The central open-plan kitchen, dining and living area forms the heart of the home, creating a natural gathering space. A second living area adds flexibility — ideal for guests, a home office or a quiet retreat.
Bedrooms are positioned to maximise privacy, while the bathrooms feature spa-like finishes, soft tones and modern comforts. Every space was designed to feel calm, contemporary and highly functional.
Materials, Finishes & Inclusions
We’re particularly proud of the consistency in quality across the home.
Premium flooring, designer lighting, stone-inspired finishes and a meticulously crafted kitchen all contribute to the overall feel.
When selecting materials, our priorities were durability, timeless design and refined comfort — luxurious, but practical for everyday family life.
Why Modular?
The home was fully designed and constructed by MPH Construction Group using a modular build method.
Modular allowed us to:
-
Live onsite during construction of our main home
-
Maintain tight control over quality and detailing
-
Create a home that could later be transported and reinstalled elsewhere
It offered flexibility without compromising craftsmanship.
Standards & Adaptability
The home was built to a high residential standard using modern building practices and quality materials.
It’s suitable for a range of environments and can be adapted to meet specific energy efficiency or bushfire requirements if needed.
A Home Ready for Its Next Chapter
Originally built at the rear of a residential block to support a larger build, this modular home is now ready to move on — wherever that may be.
Architecturally crafted, beautifully finished and designed for flexibility, it offers a rare opportunity to place a high-end home in the setting of your choice.
